Knauf Safeboard is a specially developed lead-free radiation shielding board that provides effective protection against X-rays. The board has a special gypsum core with radiation-shielding properties and is an alternative to traditional lead-lined radiation shielding boards.

Safeboard is particularly suitable for X-ray rooms, dental practices, veterinary clinics, operating rooms, and hospitals where high radiation protection standards are required. Its lead-free construction makes the board easier to handle and work with compared with traditional lead-lined boards.

The board is used in specially designed wall and ceiling systems and is installed in accordance with Knauf’s instructions for radiation protection systems. Joints and connections must be made using approved products to ensure continuous radiation protection. The level of protection is determined by the construction and the number of board layers.
